| The establishment of the University of Maryland Alumni Club in Thailand took shape in 1996 |
| when Dr.William E. Kirwan, President of the University of Maryland at that time,visited Thailand. |
| Working committees were formed, conducting several meetings to discuss and set down |
| policies, rules and regulations, and design the Club’s logo. On February 17, 1998, the Club |
| Committee completed the summary of all details concerned with the establishment of the Club. |
